Hello Dennis,

Thank you for your emails from wiki. I have been following your work from the UK and of course I am still interested in how we can collaborate together. Over in the uk we are working hard, but in many respects still lagging behind. It is taking us quite some time to reach the ‘popular consciousness’ of school leadership and teachers. A few of us are of course Twittering away and at times meeting up at Unconferences. The quiet revolution goes on.

What an opportunity to share thoughts and ideas for technology integration. I’m excited at the possibilities especially since I’m getting a Smartboard for the 2008/2009 school year. My quest this year will be to embed the use of the Smartboard throughout my school day.

The librarians’ panel I was on at NECC, assembled by Joyce Valenza, touched on some relevant issues, including professional development and enhancing student literacy skills with technology tools.

The panel was titled: “Feed, Tag, Research: Remixing for School Library 2.5″

This is very positive news and I am “on board”!

I am sure you know that the topic of “branching out” to other conferences such as ASCD and NASSP (as well as the many other content-area specific organizations) was a hot topic at NECC last week. This is a step in the right direction and I’ll be sharing this post on my blog to get the word out to other members of the edublogosphere who need to be a part of this collaborative effort!

I am very excited about the possibilities — but my mind is racing too much right now to leave any concrete ideas… give me some time to think about all of this
